EDUCATION COMMITTEE

  • Helping to educate the local international trade/export community to help them grow exports, includes:

    • Informing the exporting community on topics of key importance

    • Ensuring awareness in the community of the HDEC and other resources

    • Events with subject matter expert speakers/panels

LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE

  • Actively engaging in legislative outreach to local, state and federal representatives on trade related issues

  • Engaging State and National DEC Legislative Committees

  • Informing the exporting and international trade community of key legislative issues

  • Educational and networking events to connect the representatives with HDEC members, associates, local exporters and related stakeholders


COMMUNICATION & MARKETING COMMITTEE

  • Create content to educate the export community and provide valuable insight into the global marketplace

  • Assisting current exporting companies grow their exports

  • Connecting new/existing exporters with helpful resources

EXPORT ASSISTANCE & ADVISORY COMMITTEE

  • Provide one-on-one counseling to new and under-performing exporters (in person/virtually).

  • Refer companies with exporting issues/questions to a Wisconsin DEC member with relevant experience/knowledge and/or to the applicable local, state or federal trade resource.

  • Provide resources to Wisconsin organizations on any international trade topic. 

  • Provide subject matter experts to present on international trade topics at seminars, webinars, business meetings and events.

 

SPONSORSHIP & EVENTS COMMITTEE

  • Securing Annual Sponsorships

  • Planning and Coordinating Events


TRADE, FINANCE & RISK TEAM (TF&R)

  • Organizing current and relevant information related to financing for international business and communicating it to the export community.


SPECIAL PROJECTS TEAM

  • Supporting the efforts of the U.S. Commercial Service - Wisconsin office.
